This half-day Train-The-Student Workshop is a specially-developed program for students to learn about ASEAN. It lays the foundation for students to gain new skills, knowledge, and appreciation for ASEAN. It prepares students to be an effective spokesperson to help raise awareness and understanding of ASEAN throughout diverse communities in Cambodia.
The program is great for students who have no or little understanding of ASEAN and would like to acquire practical knowledge, skills, and confidence in being ASEAN Youth Ambassadors. ASC uses experienced experts involved in ASEAN affairs to deliver effective training that delivers results. The ASEAN Study Center certificate is awarded to participants upon successful completion of the program.
The expected outcomes for the Train-The-Student Workshop are for students to:
Communicate effectively ASEAN history, principles and values
Present ASEAN challenges, opportunities, and future directions
Use training activities and materials to effectively disseminate information about ASEAN
Better know, understand, and appreciate ASEAN
Be confident in being an ASEAN spokesperson
Half day, two per year for two years
Students, faculty, staff, scholars, think-tanks, civil society organizations, public and private officials, communities throughout Cambodia
Passive and active learning techniques are used throughout the program:
“Learning by Listening and Learning by Doing.”
A Certificate of Achievement from the ASEAN Study Center will be given to all students who successfully complete the half-day Train-The-Student workshop with full participation.
