ASEAN Distinguished Lecture Series
Dialogue Towards a Culture of Peace and Cooperation

The ASEAN Distinguished Lecture Series brings people from around the world to The University of Cambodia to experience ASEAN in action.  The lecture series aims to enhance a better understanding of ASEAN community building. Through interactive dialogue with prominent people, students and community members learn from one another and they are able to enhance their own understanding of what it means to be ASEAN. Thus, allowing people to be better prepared for regional integration in their own way, and as inclusively as possible.

ASC’s ASEAN Distinguished Lecture Series

The ASEAN Study Center’s ASEAN Distinguished Lecture Series acts as a public diplomacy effort to broaden the educational experience of UC students and the community at large.  The lecture series fosters active communication among students, civil society, private and public officials by introducing participants to diverse issues, perspectives, cultures, and societies transforming the ASEAN Community. The Center aims to anchor people’s knowledge of ASEAN community building to influential people.  The ASC sees constructive and collective dialogue - the exchange of ideas as one of the most valuable instruments in bringing about positive social  transformation in our community.

  • To provide a platform for dialogue on the ASEAN Community
  • To provide access to and discussion with influential people transforming ASEAN
  • To engage students and community members in creating positive social transformation.
  • To encourage and  inspire people to become well-round ASEAN citizens
  • To contribute to the ASEAN community building process
